Did you know… Changes to Tennessee’s Nexus Provision

By Tom WeissSeptember 3, 2019

All out-of-state sellers must comply with specific local sales tax rate for the city or county jurisdiction into which sales are shipped to or delivered effective October 1, 2019. This change will be effective at the same time as the Economic Nexus provisions, which will set the threshold for remote sellers to $500,000 in sales to collect Tennessee tax.

It’s critical that remote sellers transacting into Tennessee comply with all new requirements to ensure that the correct local sales tax rates to Tennessee sales are applied.
